What is Book Bingo?

It’s simple: Book Bingo is a brand new reading challenge, exclusively for schools with Scholastic Book Fairs in January-July 2020.

Twelve top authors and illustrators – including Liz Pichon, Alesha Dixon, Michael Rosen, Harry Hill and more – have each set a reading challenge for kids to take. Suitable for all ages and reading abilities, the challenges are designed to get kids reading lots of books they might not normally choose.

Once pupils have completed each challenge, a parent, teacher or carer should sign it off on the Book Bingo Challenge poster .

Once they’ve got every square signed off, completed posters can be sent to Scholastic to be entered into a prize draw to win incredible prizes, including author visits, class trips, workshops, loads of free books and more. The closing date for the competition is 30th August 2020, which gives children plenty of time to complete all of the challenges.
